Try as he might, Trump cannot stop the slow death march of coal towards the history books, in the US, at least. We are shutting down the fossil fuel industry, one coal plant at a time.

Trump's actions may make Big Oil Executives richer in the short term, but they make all of us poorer in the long-term. In the meantime, the U.S. remains a land on fire, a land that cannot breathe. And a land being led by a fossil fool.

Just hours after NOAA released its findings on our rapidly warming world, the Trump administration announced that the climate crisis will not be discussed at the G7 summit next June.

Climate change is more than a fight over the future of our planet – it is a fight between young and old, male and female, white versus people of colour, people of power and privilege versus people from impoverished and indigenous communities.

After the UN climate Summit, Andrew Steer, head of the World Resources Institute and a former World Bank official, said the Big Polluters fell “woefully short” of expectations. “Their lack of ambition stands in sharp contrast with the growing demand for action around the world.”

"I don’t want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to the scientists. And I want you to unite behind the science. And then I want you to take action”.

Twice as many Americans want climate action, not war. It is that simple.

The Trump Administration has signalled its "aggressive" intent to open up the entire coastal plain of the Arctic National Widlife Refuge, long seen as America’s last true wilderness and seen as its Crown Jewels or the America’s Serengeti.

But no matter the evidence, the climate deniers are planning for one last stand

"What we describe as a record heat-wave in a few decades, we will simply call that summer. A typical summer's day will be like the most extreme day we have seen in our lifetimes, at this point."
