BP Causes Largest Ever Spill on North Slope
BP – the oil company that is running an unprecedented public relations campaign trying to portray the company as green and caring – was last week responsible for the largest ever oil spill on Alaska’s North Slope.
Last week’s spill of over 200,000 gallons of crude onto the fragile tundra of Prudhoe Bay was five times bigger than any other spill that has happened in 30 years of operating on the North Slope. The spill was only discovered by accident after an oil worker smelt fumes.
BP’s operations on the Slope have been riddled with quality control and safety issues which has led to years of complaints by whistleblowers.
Well its great to see BP has everything finally under control.
